I’m listening to five women and one man talk in this session.
They’re all interesting and fascinating but Commando Dad Neil Sinclair is standing out.
He’s confident, he’s funny, he knows what he’s talking about and he believes in himself. And he’s not embarrassed by it, nor is he embarrassed to tell us how well he’s done and is doing without putting himself down.
The women are putting themselves down, it’s more than self deprecation, it looks to me like they’re embarrassed by their successes and don’t believe they deserve it or deserve to be on the stage.
The Times journalist and the literary editor are doing a better job of confidence.
But the only person I’m going to remember is Commando Dad at Mumsnet Blogfest?!
Why can’t women believe they deserve the best?
